In a world that often measures worth by what we can do, I have found my identity in who
I am in Christ.
My name, Glenys, is of Welsh origin and carries a beautiful weight: it
means "pure, holy, and good." Glenys is a Welsh feminine
name derived from "glân," meaning "pure" or "holy."
For many years, I have sought to live up to that name—
not through my own strength, but by the grace of the One who makes all things new.
Living in Australia with chronic illness and pain, I know the temptation to feel that life is
"limited." But my faith tells a different story. I believe that even in the midst of physical
suffering, we are called to a life of holiness and profound joy.
Why I Write:
I share my journey through two distinct lenses:
• Morning Cuppas With Glenys: A space for quiet reflection and devotional
strength. Like a warm cuppa for the soul, these writings are meant to refresh you
before the day’s physical trials begin.
• Australian Sacrificial Home Keeper: This is my heart for the chronically ill
homemaker. Inspired by the virtues of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31, I explore how we
can sacrificially love our families and serve our homes even when our bodies are
weary.
My writing isn't about "perfect" living; it's about holy living. It’s about the "sacrificial"
beauty of a life poured out for others, even from a place of pain.
Whether you are facing daily illness or the ultimate transition to eternal life,
my prayer is that these words remind you that in Christ, no suffering is in vain.
....Praying you have a day of glân (pure) peace and holy strength,
